Chris Burton, recently returned from his work as a lifeguard at an American Jewish summer camp. He shared a little about his adventure and good work with the church last Sunday morning......
In June this year I decided to go on an incredible Journey knowing that I knew nobody and I was going to Camp in America. The camp which I went to was a Jewish Camp in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts before I went to America I didn’t know much about the religion or what they did but while I was at camp I learnt a lot. The services they had during Shabbat on a Friday and a Saturday I was able to put into a Christianity prospective. People say that camp is an amazing place to go and I have to admit it sure is an amazing place. I have met so many people Jewish and non Jewish. While I was out there I was working as a Lifeguard at the lake and teaching people canoeing. Before I went out I knew I was not very confident at teaching people canoeing but God decided to change that as I ended up teaching canoeing for 8 weeks at camp and I can now say I am more confident at teaching canoeing and all I can do is thank God for giving me the opportunity to help me overcome and get better at canoeing.
While I was at camp during the staff week I met a Rabi who was called Craig and during our training we had to go and have a meeting with Craig. Before the meeting I didn’t know Craig. After the meeting I just stopped behind and I wanted to tell him that I was a Christian and he was very happy so I shared a few things what goes on in our church, he was happy to hear what goes on. After camp had finished Craig sent me an email and I just wanted to read it out. Me and Craig struck a good friendship and I wanted to tell him how much I enjoyed having him at camp.

After I finished camp I went travelling and I visited some amazing places I went to Washington DC I saw the white house and had a good look at the history and the museums. Then we flew down to Miami and spent a week in Miami just sun baving and topping up our tans. Then we went on a cruise to the Bahamas where we just spent time on the beach and sightseeing but it’s quite hard to get around as we didn’t have a car as nobody was 21. We spent a week in the Bahamas when we arrived back in Fort Lauderdale we then realized that the time has come that we knew our amazing 3 months in the US has come to an end.
Finally I just want to thank all the people who sponsored me for the half marathon, while I was away in America, I got a letter from Christies saying thank you for the donation I had raised. Altogether I have raised £277, £105 on my Just giving and £172 on my sponsor sheet.

Martin and Arthur have been great friends over many years and both are truly inspiring evangelists. Martin has led over 30,000 people to Jesus Christ through personal evangelism and has now linked with the work of Pastor Evans and Living Faith Church in evangelism. We look forward to hearing more from him and his great adventures for the Lord in the coming months.

Living Faith Church led a highly successful conference in Geneva this past week

Living Faith Church members on their tour of the United Nations in Geneva.
The conference entitled The Lost Treasure of Biblical Prophecy was featured on radio adverts over France and Switzerland and powerfully impacted many people's lives The five sessions were taken over three days and delegates were blessed by some excellent worship before each session from the Church of the Living Saviour's musicians.
The host Pastor, a recognised scholar in the field of Biblical prophecy Bishop Michael Wieteska, along with his wife Pastor Tess, and their excellent team of dedicated volunteers, helped ensure the smooth running of the conference schedule. They proved to be extremely hospitable hosts showing a level of excellence and generosity that touched the visiting delegates deeply. In total 13 delegates attended the conference from Living Faith Church and all were impacted in a significant and long-lasting way.
The close connection that Bishop Michael Wieteska has to the ministry of Evangelist David Hathaway resulted in the British delegates being shown films by Eurovision his evangelistic organisation in-between sessions. Each session was translated live into French and many people were prayed for and many changed lives and healings were testified to. We praise God for His immeasurable mercies to us and for the fact that despite all the difficulties facing Christianity and Christians God is building His church and the not even the gates of Hell will prevail against it, much less, secularism or any other faith.
Pastor Steve was delighted to see a young man in attendance that had responded to his preaching on his last visit two years ago. The young man Daniel has gone on to become a national boxing champion and he has become a powerful testimony to many young people, we pray for him and those he impacts for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ahead of the conference this weekend at Church of the Living Saviour (See Previous Poster) in Geneva, Pastor Steve hosted an interview on Radio 74 in France to promote the conference. The interview has been played over French and Swiss airwaves and is due to be repeated over the next few days. He spoke with Rev Jon Fiddy (guest speaker) about the meetings and the recent media attention surrounding the conferences subject matter regarding the end times. The conference is called The Lost Treasure of Biblical Prophecy.
